During the summer, Hazak featured an Israeli movie every Wednesday afternoon, followed by a lively discussion with Rabbi Daniel Berman. Our films included: I Love You Rosa, In Our Own Hands, Yellow Asphalt, O Jerusalem, The Impossible Spy, Six Days in June, The Year My Parents Went on Vacation and Time of Favor. The film series was presented with the assistance of a grant from Ma’alot, Taking Steps Towards increasing Israel Awareness, a Program of the USCJ Israel Commission in partnership with Nefesh B’Nefesh.
Looking forward to the High Holidays, Rabbi Gordon along with Cantor Finkelstein will present a program on Sunday, September18th at 2:00 PM entitled “Music and Meaning of the High Holiday Prayers”. Refreshments will be served; all are welcome.
