During 2010-2011, we were awarded an Innovation Grant from Combined Jewish Philanthropies to launch a spirited new initiative to our community’s celebration of Shabbat. We called this initiative “Shabbat Renewal.”
To be involved in Shabbat renewal means to come together with family and friends in song, prayer, learning or quiet meditation, and to appreciate the beauty of Shabbat and the rejuvenation of rest.
From sunset on Friday evening through Saturday night, we have multiple opportunities to enter Shabbat. Throughout the year, join us for:
- Uplifting singing during our Musical Kabbalat Shabbat services;
- The warmth and joy of our Tot and Family Shabbat services;
- Community building and relaxation during our Shabbat dinners; and
- Musical Havdalah in our courtyard, under the stars
