COVID-19

Congregation Mishkan Tefila’s response to COVID-19

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We are working hard to relocate programs, classes, and events to the online platform, ZOOM, whenever possible.  While some programs are being postponed, new opportunities to come together are being added.  Please see below for the updated schedule.

Mobile Mishkan
The word "Mishkan" refers to the portable dwelling for prayer that was used by our Israelite ancestors when crossing the desert on their way to the Promised Land. Over the years, Congregation Mishkan Tefila has honored that tradition by shifting its synagogue location to different areas within Greater Boston in order to remain in close proximity and fully serve its members as their religious and community needs diversified. This temporary move to the virtual platform ZOOM is just another way Mishkan is moving to meet the community needs.

"From Our Home To Yours Shabbat Services"
All services will be held via ZOOM. Friday night services will be held from 6:00-6:30 pm and Saturday morning will be held from 9:30-10:30 am.  Friday night link       Saturday Morning link

ZOOM
Please click here to let Toni know if you need any help using Zoom.  Zoom is a cloud-based video conferencing service you can use to virtually meet with others - either by video or audio-only or both, all while conducting live chats.

Payments
Thank you for your patience as we work through the logistics. We appreciate all of you who have registered for an upcoming event that is now being relocated to ZOOM or postponed. Very soon, you will receive an email with instructions on how to either place your registration on hold, obtain a full refund or use all or part of your payment as a donation to help with the unforeseen expenses related to these changes.  Please be in touch with Toni if you have any questions.

As we shift our daily routines and adjust to a new rhythm working from home, Rabbi Plumb created a beautiful video for our Mishkan Tefila Community.

On behalf of the CMT Presidents, Caryl Goodman, Lynda Gordon and Steven Kaitz and Rabbi Marcia Plumb have prepared a short Shabbat message to share with you.

While we are not physically davening together in our sanctuary this weekend, we hope that this message offers you Menuchat Hanefesh, equanimity, a time to rest both our body and our souls

In order to use ZOOM all you need to do is download ZOOM on your device (computer, phone, tablet). Once you have done that you can go to the link and it will take you to the "meeting" (service). This will take you to a virtual waiting room until the service starts.
