Limmud FestivalUK—A week long Jewish festival over Hanukah in Birmingham UK, 2500 people from all over the world, 1000 sessions, all volunteer led. This year, all the Rabbi’s family led sessions! I taught Mussar, and Wise Aging; Michael taught Jewish children’s spirituality, and a session on Jews and money; Anya taught a workshop on How a Nice Jewish Girl Fell in Love with Christian Renaissance Art, and Micah led his first session on Jewish bead weaving.

ADL No Hate No Fear March in NY
Jewish and Proud with AJC and Rabbi Rachel Gurevitz
For me, these past few weeks have been filled with Jewish pride and activity. From Limmud in the UK, to the ADL March in NYC, being immersed in the joy, comfort, and energy of Jewish life has been exhilarating and left me positive and optimistic.
To continue in the spirit of Jewish learning and growth, I invite you to join me in an easy, accessible way to engage in Jewish study that is fun and new. It is called Daf Yomi. It involves studying a page of Talmud every day. A new cycle has begun, and it takes 7.5 years to complete! I have begun Daf Yomi with a group of Rabbis. But you can start Daf Yomi too. You can click on this link from My Jewish Learning.com https://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/9-things-to-know-about-the-daf-yomi-daily-page-of-talmud/ and they will send you a daily study update in English. You can read it in 15 minutes and then, you’ve done Daf Yomi that day! You can follow the link to the Hebrew if you’d like.
This Shabbat, may Judaism continue to nourish us intellectually, and fill our souls with pride and joy. I look forward to dancing with you at Festive Friday tonight.
Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Marcia Plumb
