CMT and KI invite you to join us for a light brunch at 10:00AM, and a showing of Upheaval: The Journey of Menachem Begin at 10:45AM. This will be followed by a discussion with Rabbi Hamilton and Rabbi Starr.
A proud yet scarred leader haunted by the Holocaust and decades of war, Menachem Begin struggled during his political career to balance history and heroism and to make peace with his greatest enemy. Through evocative imagery, rarely seen archival materials, and revealing interviews with those who knew him, Upheaval portrays a leader who never compromised when the future of Israel and the Jewish people were at stake. The film from producer, writer, director Jonathan Gruber explores a legacy long misunderstood.

Join KI Musical Director, Ariel Wyner, and his group Jacob's Ladder, for their first Melaveh Malkah in the CMT Sanctuary. There will be light refreshments followed by a night of singing, community building, and Jewish bluegrass!
Melaveh Malkah, literally "Escorting The Queen", is the Jewish term for the transition from the experience and prominence of our "Shabbat Queen" into the weekday. In the spirit of this tradition, Jacob’s Ladder leads the community in a special musical gathering as we say goodbye to Shabbat with a familiar kavannah (intention) reminiscent of its grand welcoming.
Experience the magic of the musical energy and soul-clenching melodies, and feel the presence of community, new and old friends, and deep Jewish connection.
This event is also in partnership with Moishe House, Brookline.
